Mahmud is a practising barrister and accredited mediator. He specialises in commercial law, with an emphasis on company law, insolvency, bankruptcy and banking law. Mahmud has worked in the corporate and litigation departments of Herbert Smith LLP, a leading international commercial law firm. He is the author of Court Applications under the Companies Acts (Bloomsbury Professional, 2013) and has contributed numerous articles to Ireland’s leading professional law journals. He has also worked as a tutor for Mediation Forum Ireland. Mahmud’s practice spans a variety of areas of law. However, he specialises in the following:

Education 

Mahmud obtained a first class law degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway. He went on to study for his LLM at the University of Cambridge, obtaining a first class degree. Mahmud also holds professional qualifications from the Honorable Society of the Kings inns, Dublin and is an accredited mediator with Mediation Forum Ireland.
